So I just had a kit delivered to my house last night and its the first time using but UPS dropped it outside my front porch in <0 degree temps like 3-4 hours before i got home. it wasn`t frozen thankfully but was really, really cold and the sealact was separated, is this normal thats its seperated or is it now damaged?

Mine always separates when I go a while without using it. Just shake it up before you use it and it should be fine - I`ve never experienced any negative effects.

That`s just normal. I`ve bought two kits and the seleact was separated. Just a vigorous shake and everything is back to normal. Make sure you follow the directions and watch the Mike Phillips videos on AG.

Thanks guys and I`ve been watching these videos on Dr. Color Chip like crazy and multiple times, especially since its first time using and on a customers car. I`ve always used touch up pens and gently rubbed smooth as needed or a few times used my air brush over bondo filler creme. so this is a new experience i guess

that kit is fool proof man....only thing you`ll realize is you need more of the sealact than you think...I`ve used it after sitting on the shelf for over a year and just a shake and its good to go

FWIW, I get *MUCH* better results when I use DrColorchips like a regular touchup paint rather than doing their "smear it all over" approach. And I use an old MF for the leveling rather than the nasty cloth they include in the kit (yeah, it does trash the MF).

Dr.ColorChip is awesome. I actually like fixing stone chips more than detailing someone`s ```` box. I take a deposit, order the stuff, and use it on the customers car when it comes in. I 2nd the MF on it instead of the cheese cloth they provide.

I am interested in this kit.
My question is, it seems to only come with one color of paint.
So, how is this actually a kit?

it has the color specific paint
AND their sealact or whatever that removes the excess paint after application
and the crappy towel
that makes it a kit I guess
