Dr. Color Chip (Paint Question)

Hey Guys,

I am going to invest in a kit for my personal car, however I am also looking into this as a road rash, paint chip repair service for customers. I do have a question, since the kit uses color matched paint, do I have to order the paint from them, or could I have a local place mix up a small bottle using the vehicles paint code?

I would just require the customer to provide me with the paint code which can be easily found in the door sticker, and have a local paint place mix me up a small 2-3oz paint bottle. I just didn't know if Dr. Color Chip's paint had certain chemicals or additives in there to work with their system.

Can anyone provide insight?

Yeah, there's something unique about their paint. You cannot use traditional touch up paint with their chems/process, Irkie.
