Seeing how I brought it up in the first place, I guess they can thank me later.

Maybe Megan can send you a tester bottle.

After you brought it up a few people I believed ordered the product. I wouldn't have ordered it had I not seen this post and inquired about it further.

At 2 for the price of 1, I'm sure it was well worth it.

got the bottle today. thanks!

I've never used a no rinse wash before so at first I thought I might not be a good person to try it but then again there are probably plenty of people out there that haven't tried one so I figured it might be useful to hear from someone that up till a couple weeks ago thought it was crazy to wash the car this way.

So I didn't wash my truck for awhile and let the dirt, pollen and bugs build up on it for a bit and we had a little drizzle the other day to really make a mess out of it.

First off it is easy to use. It took a bit for me to get to where I'd ring enough out of the wash mitt as less seemed to work better than more. The wash pulled the dirt off the wash mitt really well and it quickly fell below the grit guard (another new item for me). When I was done the bottom of the bucket had plenty of dirt in it but the mitt still came clean each time.

after removing the grit guard:

The biggest plus, it is fast and since you don't use gallons of water it dries easily so in no time at all you can be polishing or waxing.

I also mixed up some QD with it and really like that. This stuff will more than pay for itself just with what I save over buying QDs. It seems plenty slick, wipes off easily without streaking and leaves the finish nice and smooth.

Glad you liked it, DP line really has some great products in it.... Final Gloss Quick Detailer being my all time favorite!

and as I mentioned in another post, I'm glad I tried it out as a QD before I hit the 'submit' button on ordering a gallon of Speed Shine. The DP rinseless will make 8 gallons of QD for the price of one gallon of SS. SS may add just a bit more gloss to the finish but for the price difference I can live with the tiny difference. And I usually QD before adding a coat of LSP anyways.

Review of DP Rinseless Wash and Gloss

I receive a free sample of DP Rinseless from Autogeek earlier this week . Thank you Meghan.

DP Rinseless Wash and Gloss is a replacement for DP 4in1. Like the name suggest it is a rinseless wash product in the same catagory as the much heralded ONR.

I live near the Chesapeake Bay. It is the second largest estuary in the world and there has been an active program to reduce runoff for years. Products like DP are becoming more important for professional detailers who are required to limit runoff. However, for home use DP Rinselss Wash and Gloss can be a great product to reduce water usage.

Time for the review. The instructions are simple. 1) Add 1oz to 2gallons of water. 2) wash one panel at a time 3) wipe the panel with a MF cloth 4) proceed to the next panel

Lubricity

This is where DP really shines. I tried this on 3 vehicles. Two that were recently detailed and my wife's beat up city car (15 year old honda with no LSP). On all three, DP encapulates the dirt and wipes off with minimal effort. In fact, for lack of better words, there is a wicking effect that allows the you to dry the panels very quickly. You can do an average car in 10-15 minutes.

Gloss

DP imparts a very nice sheen after drying. Gloss is enhanced and gived the impression that the vehicle is freshly waxed.

Slickness

The panels on the freshly detailed vehicles maintained their slicknes after the DP wash. On the unprotected city car, slickness is improved marginally.

Smell

Similiar to bubblegum. My wife thinks it smells exactly like Hubba-Bubba bubblegum.

Ease of Use

Again, no harder than a traditional wash. Same rules apply, work top down.

Value

You are using 1oz per wash, so the is enough for 32 washes at least. Also DP can be used as a quick detailer or to enhance lubricity by adding to any car wash solution. It also can be a clay lube. It is very versatile and I love the fact that there is no waste or runoff after a wash. It saves water and for me time. I highly recommend this product.

Cons

It is an effective QD, but is not as slick as Meguiars UQD. It does not have any wax so protection is short lived. However,it will not strip fresh wax. Heavily soiled vehicles may still need to be rinsed first prior to DP.

Thank you for wading through this review. I do hope you try it. I am impressed.

it is official, I love this stuff.

The car wasn't really bad this time but bad enough that it showed. A weeks worth of bugs, dust and pollen. I didn't even have to use a special sponge or cloth for the bugs. Another plus is I can easily do the door frames while I'm at it, no need to finish the outside then get a QD for doing the door frames.

This time I used a small MF towel rather than a wash mitt. I like the towel a lot better. Easier to work with on the surface and easier to wring out.

The best part is still how fast it is. In no time at all the car is clean and dry.

Half way through doing it I realized that I had forgotten to do a quick mechanical repair on my truck that needed done and it was getting late. If I was washing the car the old fashioned way that would have been a big bummer. But with the rinseless I had plenty of time to finish the job right.

I know saving water is great and all that but I love saving time. And the dirt all goes in the bucket, the drying towel stays spotless.

And it shines like it did when I just waxed it and feels just as smooth.

I have used ONR as well as DP Wash & gloss, I perfer ONR to wash and all but use the wash and gloss as a clay Lube or spray and wipe. DP wash and Glass has a nice scent and since the liquid is pick it helps to see in clear spray bottle as to where ONR is blue

Actually, without factoring in shipping, you're getting washes for 50¢ of product, not $2, so an even better deal!
