DP 4 in 1, Optimum ONR, or QEW?

Have you guys have any different experiences out of these products? Do you prefer one over the other(s) for rinseless washes (using buckets, mitts, etc)?

I know that QEW was originally designed for RVs, and had heard from one person that maybe it wasn't the greatest product for automotive finishes (not possessing sufficient emulsifiers & lubricants).

Being that ONR & 4 in 1 are both designed by auto detailing product companies and sold for use on auto finishes, I'd almost THINK that they'd yield better results. This is completely conjecture, of course. Has anyone made 1st hand comparisons?

As a matter of fact there is a lot of information that was posted in the last few weeks on this very subject. Basically they all do a good job of rinseless washing of the paint surface if it is not TOO dirty. Use care when washing and the results will be very good.

In the long run it is what ever you decide which is the best for your particular situation. I have all three major rinseless washes and have yet to decide which is best because I end up using S&W more often than not. S&W is just plain easier for me than the others. One of these days I will decide which is best, as you will have to, but until then it is nice to have options.

Having used QEW & ONR, I would have to say that I am more impressed by ONR on the product side. The fact that I can get QEW right down the street will probably keep it in my arsenal after I finish with the ONR, though. If you're going to have to order one or the other, I'd order the ONR.

I have all three products, though I do very little rinseless washing because we enjoy temps which are favorable for the more traditional hose-n-bucket washing, and IMO that type of washing is superior to the rinseless variety. I primarily use the rinseless products as an additive in my rinse buckets which does seem to provide a benefit. I also like them for door jambs which are too dirty for PB's S&W. They are also nice to have when, on the somewhat rare occasion, our temps turn too cold for the h-n-b wash.

As to your original question, I haven't noticed a discernable difference in the three products. As JaredP noted above price/availability could be used as determining factors as IMO performance is too close to call.

You took the exact words out of my mouth. I haven't used ONR and QEW side by side, but I find them quite similar and I haven't had any marring issues frow QEW. You can't go wrong with any of the above...

One side note - ONR does make an excellent QD/waterless wash product when mixed as directed. Not in the league of Spray & Wipe in my opinion, but it was good. I did not have the same results with QEW when I tried that.

Well....I just picked up a bottle of 4 in 1 with my order from Autogeek!
A friend of my Mom's wants some QEW, and I have 2 16oz bottles that are unopened that I'll sell her to wash their RV.

Using that $20 to buy a 1/2 gal of the 4 in 1.

I REALLY have a problem with wanting to try new products all the time! :crazy2: This stuff makes me a little  when I start brousing AG or DC!

I just had to get in on the Buy 1 Get 1 deal...and with the free shipping, couldn't pass up a few more things!

While the AG ad copy for ONR does refer to "waterless wash", I think that is an incorrect description.
They don't make any further mention of "waterless wash" in the rest of the information.
A QD, clay lube, a conventional wash water softener and aid, and a "rinseless wash".
I have not used it for any thing other than a rinseless wash, but I don't think I would use it as a "waterless wash".

I read the directions for waterless washing either at the website or at another forum. FWIW, I think it did a fine job, but YMMV.
