Double standards

This is s post from Dave B, its pretty clear, however I'm not an owner of any company anymore and my post was deleted talking about products I;m not in any way affiliated with, I guess their is a double standard, too bad, it was for the benefit of the members, they are the ones missing out now.

Spam is out of control!

We get four kinds of spammers:

- Hit-N-Run Spammers

- Shills

- Wannabe Sellers

- Vendors Who Forget the Rules

Our no spam/no commercialism rules are in place to keep Autopia a comfortable place for everyone. EVERYONE is welcome to participate and post, even vendors. However, you may not make commercial posts.

What is commercial solicitation/spamming?

If you post We/our/my company has... you are spamming!

If you post We/our/my product is... you are spamming!

If you post We/our/my customers'... you are spamming!

If you post We/our/my will be announcing... you are spamming!

If you post We/our/my test results for our... you are spamming!

If you post We/our/my can make or supply that... you are spamming!

If you or your company would like to have your unaffiliated customers talk about your product, business practice or services, they are welcome to do so. However, as a commercial vendor with a sales intent, you are not.

I am not sure what you are getting at. You say that "you are not the owner of a company anymore"....How long has that been the case? Are you saying that you have no vested interest?

Being that you sold your company, what, 2 weeks ago, and that your signature says "Owner, Perfect Auto Finish" I'm not sure you can fault the management for not recognizing your changed status. If you've spent enough time around here, or the enforcement of anything, you know it comes in waves. What happened to the relaxing part of retirement? If you have a beef, you should be working it out in PM, because this public resentment stuff never ends well.

Gary,

You've been on the receiving end of warnings about borderline spam in the past, and been cut more than a little slack. DB decided that your most recent post crossed the line, and removed it; end of story. If you'd care to take this up with a moderator (me or any of the others), feel free, but in PMs, not in the public forum.

Now, because this thread serves no useful purpose:
