Don't you just hate it when...

Went out to my car after work last night. Found a huge scracth. A pick up had parked next to me. Must have removed something from the bed of the truck. Put about a three and a half inch scratch/crease in the rear panel of my car. I was able to remove some of the paint residue left from whatever object hit me with some 3M SMR. But the scratch, and obviously the crease, is still there. Maybe somebody at this Sat. St. Louis detail event can work some magic on it. Amazing how disrespectful how some poeple can be.

Thats why I never park next to a pickup truck, or anything where "loading" may take place lol

Was that truck still there when you got into the car? Here's what you do. Leave a note and say that you took pictures of the damage, and the license plate of his truck, and ask that he call you.

I did this once when some jerk parked all the way up against my bumper. He was nasty and beligerant when he called (but he did call) but he paid for the bumper so I wouldn't "Take my pictures to the police"

Now I carry a disposable camera in the glovebox (something everyone should have, really) so I can actually take pictures if it should ever happen again.

Great idea (useful for whatever type of "accident") beats a distant memory and usful for insurance claims.

Yes, the camera is a great idea! Always had my kids carry one in case of an accident, teens word against adult..... Also here the police have what's called "Operation Slick Streets" when it rains or is slick. They won't resond to an accident unless someone is injured! If no injuries then you get a form at a police substation or 7-11 type store and fill it out!

Me, I want pictures if I don't have a police report! :scared
