Doing My Buddy`s new Pacifica van

My good friend from work just had their second small child and a larger vehicle was in order. The perfect, quintessential family vehicle is Chrysler Pacifica van, which happens to be made in my hometown of Windsor, Ontario.

Here it is as it arrived:

It was the "S" version, so it had a really cool set of wheels on it!!

The dealer left a sticker on each wheel!

The wheels, tires and wells were done first and then it was foamed with HD Pink soap:

There was this weird haze in part of the hood. That took M100 and a black wool pad to remove. I wanted to do something above and beyond for my friend, so I spent my time (not billed) to compound the hood with M100 + black wool + 3401. That was followed by M205 and an orange B/S pad.

The rest of the paint got a one step with a B & S white pad + Duragloss squeaky clean. The parts that couldn`t get Feynlab Self Heal Lite (it generates heat as it cures which is not good for head or tail lights, etc) got Ceramic. The paint got SHL. That was topped with Top Coat (as was the Mercedes, I just forgot to mention it).

Here it is all done:

They were very pleased. Thanks for looking!

Ever since we had that (terrible, TERRIBLE) Mazda MPV, I`ve appreciated a well-detailed minivan :D

Richy- Hey, that turned out nice! Good job, hope they keep it decent.

Also hope they get it, or at least its hood, rustproofed. Appears there might be a glitch in the manufacturing or somesuch but I bet a *GOOD* application of rust inhibitor, done while it`s still newish, will help a lot.

Another Chrysler product with built-in corrosion issues

That looks great! Great job. Almost bought one of them

Thanks kindly! Too bad you didn`t...it`s like job security for my neighbours, LOL.

It`s no wonder that your friend was pleased........it looks fantastic.
Thanks very much Rick, I truly appreciate you taking the time to comment!

Great job! Pour yourself a cold one and relax. A ton of real estate on that bad boy.
Yes, thanks, I do think I earned it!

Hmmm, first I`ve heard about any corrosion issues...hopefully not. Its success is great for my area.

The flora up there is so pretty. Some of these pictures look like brochure photos
Thanks man! The heavy rains earlier paid off I guess!

It looks awesome
Thanks kindly David!
