Does This PC Package Look Good To You

Ok I've been drowling over the offerings at Autogeek and decided its about time to bite the bullet and get a PC that everyone is talking about.

I'm thinking of getting this package HK-7424, it comes with the PC, Dual Action 5 Inch Flexible Backing Plate, 1 Orange 6.5" & 1 Orange 5.5" Light Cutting Pads, 2 White 6.5 Inch Polishing Pads, 2 Gray 6.5 Inch Finishing Foam Pads, 2 Cobra Microfiber Towels and 1 Packet of Snappy Clean. All for $189.99.

I'm also thinking of getting the counter weight, DP polishing pad rejuvenator, a couple of extra clay bars, 2 yellow cutting pads, 2 blue finessing pads, a pad care kit and a six pack of towells. All these should run in the $300 range.

Is there anything else I should consider buying right now cause I'm ordering from Europe and don't need to be re ordering every few weeks? The whole Meguiars range is offered here so I can get them locally

I think you will be delighted with your package. The PC is an awesome tool for the serious detailer. Are you getting polishes as well?

Somehow, I think that opinion is a little biased. :)

Looks fine. I think you could get away with not purchasing the counterweight and just use the counterweight that's in the to begin with.

An ounce, if I remember correctly. I think I also recall a thread where someone did a side-by-side comaprison of using the same machine with both counterweights and did not notice any difference in machine vibration between the two.

And, even though I am not Jen, I would suggest Poorboy's SSR line of polishes. They are very user friendly, and have always produced great results for me.
 
mmm :D i just got that autogeek email and I am really considering getting the EDGE kit its only 99.99, i dont know id the 15% Discount Coupon can be used?


also thinking about the bonnet kit and the pound of clay (yes a lot but i need to get my shippings worth) also has anyone from canada ever ordered from autogeek? how long does it take ??

If you're buying just the pad kit without a buffer, then you could use the 15% off code. I've had my eye on the clay by the pound myself. One can never have too much clay. ;)
 
Charlie, what is drowling? Some expression from other parts of our fair country? Sneek, ordering is painless and the only thing is that Canada Post may ask you for the customs charges. I just ordered during the moving sale and my package arrived yesteday perfectly packed. Great folks to order from.

The edge kit is AWSOME. I love my edge pads, i bought the same kit and have nothing but satisfied so i would say take advantage of the 15% and buy it
 
AHH so many things that i could buy...just really dont want to pay the customs from Canada Post :(

ohh comon its down to 6% and when you get it on sale for 15% off how can you go wrong. lol. And i know the feeling I have everything i need ofr like a million details but I still want more to try so I buy it and all of a suden I have a hundred dollar customs bill. gota love "FREE TRADE"

I live in Vancouver, BC so your post makes me quite nervous since I was just getting ready to order the Kit Canadian Charlie got. What is it that you bought that triggered a $100 Customs bill? The price would have to have been almost $800 after the conversion to Canadian even if you had to pay the full 13%. ???

Lol i seem to make larger order of 200-300(i know not lagre for all ) and i make 2 or 3 at the ame time so I haev 600 bucks worth of stuff comming in. The problem is there are customs fees at am in of 5 bucks and order but can go as high as 40. I know i had one order that was 30 bucks for duty then 40 bukcs for customs so ti was 70 bucks to bring it in. This is rare but does happen. I would say still go for the pc its worth ordering outa t he states with the current state of the dollar. Once you start to pirchsesmore oyou will see the customs bill add up but untill then i wouldnt owrry about it.

I tried to order the Kit from Autogeek plus some other stuff and the site works real wierd for me. First, each item I order and then click "continue shopping" disappears and when I select another item, that's all there is in the basket. I was trying to buy more than $300 worth for the first order (it doesn't take much to be in that bracket and I'm not a "detailer." I just want to take really good care of my Cruiser.) And to make things worse, after filling out all the stuff for an order I get a message that they don't ship "this item" to my country (CANADA). Damn, I guess I have to move to Mexico since it seems ANYTHING gets to come in from there, at least into thye US, lol.

Anyway, since I have a motorcycle with lots of nooks and crannies, I decided to foget the PC and the rest of the order and save my $300 plus. I will get that Red Powerball instead which is on sale at Canadian Tire near me ($25 CAD.} 5" is just too big for me to try and polish just about any part of the motorcycle without disassembly, lol.
