Hmm, according to the manufacturer it doesn't, but... dunno I wouldn't trust it.

I guess it depends on how soft your paint is and if it sits in the hot sun.

I'd just buy some spray mask from a painter's supply shop. It's the same stuff but is gauranteed not to harm the finish. Probably much cheaper too.
