does polish thin your clear coat???

I have PB pure polish. does it think your clear coat?? i use it with a LC black finishing pad. My car is 6 mo old but i dont really see that many swirl if any. so would you guys go over the car with SSR1 before the pure polish or should i skin the SSR.

i have the following products
ssr1,ssr2,ssr2.5
PB pure polish
PB natty blue wax
PB ex-p sealant

do i need a paint cleaner liks klass AIO to use with my other products.

Pro Polish is a chemical cleaner. No physical abrasives, but when used with a polishing pad takes out minor marring. Unless you're using it everyday, no damage is gonna be done using pro polish. As for SSR1, I would say its effectiveness is that of Pro Polish but mechanically. I have found both two be at par.

AIO is not needed as Pro Polish does exactly that with the exception of the added protection AIO offers.
 
Polishing. Gives it more bite. Not neccesarily more cut, but definately allows the cleaners in the product to rub more intensly against the paint, therefor giving you a cleaner finish.

Also helps with those small microscopic wiping marks left after washes.
 
Every polish thins your clear coat, even a little.
But it's like say, "a hotel costs $150/night, which is $54750/year. They must be crooks, cause I can rent a condo for $20000/year."
While that's true, it's the wrong question.
The question should be: "what's the best treatment for my car so I never damage the paint irreperably and it looks sharp and lasts long." The answer: I don't know. I'm too tired from polishing to remember.
 
As stated above, yes polishing does thin your clear coat. When you remove defects you are removing clear, but with your comob of PP or SSR1 it would take you a very very long time to remove a dangerous amount.

Exactly. I tell people to think of a piece of wood, like a 2x4. It has a little bit of a crappy surface, some minor little nicks here and there, so you sand a tiny bit off the top to have a smooth clean surface. You are only taking a tiny bit off, and look at how much of the 2x4 is left... lots. Basically the same principle on your paint, just a much smaller scale ;)
 
But I'll tell you guys one thing. If you've ever seen paint peel, you notice how incredibly thin it is on portions that are still healty and attached to the surface.
