Does it look bad if I call old clients back every few months?

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!! I just opened back up and had receipts back to 2007 and all clients were very happy to hear from me. Also booked plenty of work and estimates so its a definite plus to call back. good luck
 
I call selected ones back if you know what I mean. And not to say I cherry pick the easy cars and generous tippers either, I avoid the customers that show NO appreciation for my work and act like "eh" it's clean. This pup likes a pat on the head!
 
I do reminder emails...



"hey your car is due for a cleaning, I can come by on these dates in the next couple of weeks...."



Keeps your name on their minds to tell their friends, keeps their cars cleaner and makes it easier on you when you do a maintained car, and keeps you busy and the schedule filled!

^^ Agreed... Also throw a picture of their car just after you detailed it last in the email with the caption

:werd: I've done the same thing in the past as well.
 
I have a pretty large e-mail listing of clients and I will remind them when they are due again for a detail. I also have customers who ask me to let them know when it is time for another detail.

LOVE THESE PEOPLE! I pencil their names about 3 months down from the original date of service and contact them again. This is my 2nd summer in operation and it's been great as many of my bookings are return customers who came back to me unprovoked. I've also done some of my own 'cherry picking' as JuneBug put it.
