I can't say for sure if it would remove any sealant or not, but if I had to made a guess, it would be "not."
The point of the tape is to protect the "at risk" areas of the paint from accidental 'overbuffing' either by too much time spent on one area, too aggresive a product on an area with thin paint, or from getting excess product thrown onto trim, into cracks/crevices and other areas from using the buffer. Once you are finished with any type of a "cutting" step where you're using generous amounts of product that are likely to make a mess and are applying a final light polish/LSP using light amounts of product that are easily contained and not flung everywhere, the tape should be removed so the entire painted surface can be treated by the LSP.
