Does BF have cleaners in it?

No, it doesn't. But note than most anything (even water) will have a solvent effect to the point of cleaning off some light contamination. But I'd precede the BF with something like AIO or the BF polish or something similar if you want to prep the surface. Don't expect the BF to do much of anything by itself.

Thanks for the reply:

What I am trying to do is work all of these new (to me) products in. Are you referencing AIO as a cleaner/swirl remover, and then BF as a sealer? What I need to do is remove light swirls, seal and wax... I was thinking of: SFX2 (x2 or 3), AIO, BF x2, souveran x2. The SUV is metallic blk and 2004. What purpose does the AIO have in the sequence?

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

i think of AIO as more of a cleaner than a swirl remover. AIO is great for oxidation and attaining a clean surface for applying sealants. i believe most of the members that use it here use it for that purpose. it can be used for the finest of scratches, like the kind you'd get from QDing with a bad microfiber towel, but you aren't going to be correcting swirls or anything to that degree.

I never get any swirl-removal from AIO. Given all the polishing steps I don't think I'd use it at all in this case. I know some people use it on every detail, but I never used it under BF and I don't use it under UPP either. I'd probably just get the marring out and when the finish looks just the way you want it, apply the BF without any intermediate steps.
