Does Back to Black ever dry?

It looks good when i put it on but it washes right off. I let it sit all day in the sun and it still comes right off.

I don't think you'll find any vinyl/rubber protectant that dries permanent. In fact, you want these conditioners to stay a little "wet". This way they take the brunt of the environmental abuse instead of your vinyl and rubber.

Thanks for the tip, but that reply does not help or answer my question as to why it always washes off.

Back to Black was the only product I found that would restore the color and eliminate the ugly white spotting to the thick rubber trim around the base of the windows of my 93 Maxima. In the past I used other kinds of dressings but they ran down the side of the car staining horribly after it rained. I'm not sure if Back to Black ever really dries but when it rained with the Back to Black on, staining was minimal even though I had to put it on again to get rid of the white spotting again.

Well as DavidB said no rubber protectant is going to be permanent, but since I have not noticed back to black totally disappearing when my car get's rained on/washed, and since you are not using the product correctly, my advice stands...the theory being that perhaps using it properly affects it's ability to stay on the car.

So it washes off your car too, that all l wanted to know. It doesn't dry permanent and must be reapplied when some washes off.

Are you using this on your bike or car?

The reason I ask is that I have found that nothing lasts very long on the bike, as long as it sits outside, since most of the bike parts are exposed longer.

In my experience with Eagle One Protectant Lotion (have not tried B2B), I found that after I have applied the product several times, once after each wash, that the product seems to last several washes and a month or two before I need to reapply. This was on the backs of my mudflaps, so YMMV.
