Does anyone use Zaino glass polish with a buffer?

Like a Cyclo or Porter Cable? I have the tiny pads used for a hand drill & plastic polish and I think I could really get a windshield crystal clear by the same pad on another machine. Reason I'm asking is I heard (from Intel or Showroom) a while back that it might distort the glass integrity.

Has anyone ever tried this?

It works fine with a PC. I use Zaino glass polish with a polishing pad at speed 3. Results are great.

You only need to worry about distortion with a heavy compound used with a rotary buffer.

Yup.. I use Zaino Glass Polish as well with my PC and it works great and Ive really worked some windshields hard to get some water etching out and there have been no ill effects.

Funny you should ask. I just tried this yesterday on a 1970 VW Karmann Ghia (still with its original glass). I had washed and clayed, and didn't really expect the Zaino Glass Polish to make much of a difference. But wow! it sure did. Used the PC with a polishing pad and Z Glass Polish, buffer set about 4.5. When I finished doing half the windows, the pad was nearly black -- which says to me that it got a whole bunch of "gunk" off/out-of the glass. They look so much clearer now! :up

I have to agree with Lynn's observations...just when you think the glass is clean, try the Z12 with a PC and you'll see the extra gunk on the pad.

No, sadly, I haven't seen that it removes scratches. It just improved clarity for me. I haven't had the nerve/temerity to try anything more aggressive to deal with my scratches, for fear of the aforementioned "distortion" problem.
