Does any body else have this condition?

I would like to have a new car every 6 - 12 months, but my like for money is much greater. Not cost-beneficial to turn over cars like that, as I believe the original poster acknowledged.

I choose to spend my money on other things that are more important in my life, including > 10% gross pay into retirement savings...

Wish I had the money to have that condition myself but I and probably a lot of others are stricken with the opposite condition where we keep our cars as long as we can keep them on the road :)

Honestly even after 7 years and 120K miles I still enjoy driving the Mustang as much as the day I bought her. Fortunately she has been rock solid reliable and still looks almost new...

Not only do I buy a lot of cars, I keep them. It's like I get attached, and don't want to let them go. In my household, there is only me and my wife. We have 4 cars: 08 Lancer, 06 Element, 02 Elantra, 73 VW Bug. Plus, we have a pretty nice utility trailer.

Heck, 2 years ago, one of my cars got struck by lightning, and all of the electronics were fried. My buddy said, "That sucks"...I replied with, "No it doesn't, as soon as they total it out, I can buy a new car to replace it."

The way I look at it is that we give to charity, save money, and have a 15 yr mortgage (vs 30 years). We gave up drinking years ago, don't smoke, don't gamble, and I don't hang out at the strip clubs. If I want to *accumulate* cars, there's a lot worse things in the world. And...all my cars RUN, so no old hoopties on blocks in my yard!!!

i probably have a bit of the condition, sold both of below last year and a nissan armada, reloaded with hhr ss, generation 4 viper and tahoe to go with f430, looking to add a srt8 red challenger..

I posted in the chat log, but I found another Mustang. I don't think it's the "best" car for me, but I love the idea. We'll see what it comes to ultimately, as I have a long list of body work I would do, easily surpassing the last GT.

I can't say that I have done this one before. 1st car was a hand me down ('84 Pontiac Parisienne), bought a '99 GA back in '04 as an upgrade, that got written off and I replaced it with a Civic. I'm only 21.

I never thought I would say it but I almost don't care for putting a ton of money into cars anymore. I keep on thinking where that money could be in investments or property.

I would have this problem if I had money to keep spending. Im only 17 and about to have my 2nd car which is going to be a 2007 civic si sedan.

How do you drive a $20,000 car and not have money?

Man what kind of jobs you guys have to have this condition. I can barely afford to keep my car in running condition let alone buy many cars. I need to get off my arse actually find a career.
