Dodo Juice Red Mist tried for the first time! - Lots of pics...

I tried the Dodo Juice Red Mist for the first time yesterday after a regular wash. I'm very pleased on the product, it sure does the paint pop!

I also tried the Finish Kare #425. I sprayed & wiped the Red Mist onto every panel, and FK425 only on hood on top of Red Mist.

One layer of Carlack 68 NSC and two coats of FK1000P on the paint already.

A short review follows:

Dodo Juice Red Mist:

+ More like a spray sealant, very thick composition when sprayed on panel

+ Very little of product goes far

+ Smells great

+ Gives a wet, deep finish. Makes the flakes on paint pop.

- The shape of bottle. Almost impossible to hold/use with one hand

- requires a careful wipe off to avoid holograms (it's thick!)

Finish Kare #425:

+ Big sufficient bottle

+ Gives a super slick finish

- Also requires a careful wipe off

- Smells like some medicine (not bad though)

I didn't notice that either of products would have had any filling abilities. After this short tryout, I can recommend both.

outstanding. Those are two of my favorite QD's. Use one or the other after each wash and you'll only have wax to truly wax/seal after times you clay or polish.

i tried red mist a couple months back and i fell in love with it.......i used it on a black trans am that i performed a paint correction on and the red mist mad the paint look even deeper.......

OMG look at all those Land Rovers! (Drool.........)

i was considering the red mist, but now i think i'll def try it!

I just ordered the Dodo Juice Red Mist, it's my first Dodo juice product. My arsenal is big enough now. I have too many Lsp's and other detailing products to justify the need for more products for now, this will be my first spray sealant. :getdown

Thanks for sharing!

The gloss reminds me almost exactly of Optimum Instant Detailer. Very glossy, but sort of that blurry-opaque glossiness, if you follow me.

Which is different from the hard-look, glassy glossiness of, say, that which is produced by simply ONRing a dark-colored car.
