Hello everyone! Well nick (pappy), go another new truck so I was called it to bring it back to life. We worked in his heated garage so it was a nice day. You can see by the pics he difference. The paint lacked definition in the reflection becuase of all the swirls.

Process:

-Spray and Wipe
-Optimum hyper compound & Hi temp extreme cut, equally via light cut orange pad @1500 rpm
-Po85rd via pc and polishing pad @5-6 (NICK)
-Poorboys EX-P

-CG VRT on trim
-Meguiars Hyper Dressing on wheels and wells
-OCW on rims

I can see it beading (your car greg)!

Great job! was Optimum Compount really neccesary though. From the pics you showed I would think OCP would have got it done.

Yup. After trying optimum polish via a light cut pad it didnt give us the result we were looking for, It would have taken 2, maybe 3 passes with the ocp to remove the scratches in the paint that unfortunatly cannot be seen. It wasnt the swirls the compound was after, it was the deeper scratches.

FWIW i will be reviewing the OHC soon!

Thanks for the comments!

Greg

Scratches....Scratches...I don't see know stinking Scratches!! LOL!!

Nice work, Greg. I noticed the beading on the car also. Looks hot in the cold of MN.

That's not "beading" - it's crying at being left out there in the snow & cold while Greg brings yet another ruined finish back to life.

Good job, Greg :bigups

LOL!

Poor thing!

Great job as always. It is funny to see a great looking vehicle parked on top of some snow. I'm suprized the snow would stick to the cav. with all that wax on there.

What an improvement Greg! That's a lot of paint to polish -nice job.

What are your thoughts on the VRT?

Winter will be over soon.

Thanks, The vrt loses its gloss very quickly. Within 5 minutes it is very low low gloss, which if you like low gloss is great. I like a touch more gloss myself.

Awesome job. I love that body style, I have the mini-version. :)

And if ya find the a$@^&*# that put the door ding in the left front fender... well.. you know what to do. :nutkick

(I knew I'd find a good use for that graphic sometime!) :)
