I've only experienced the Mini Cooper Wave and do my best not to receive the BMW wave from other motorist.

This pole isn't for the courtesy wave when someone lets you merge, or when waving at random pedestrians.

I used to go up to my friend's house in a mountain town a lot. I would wave to a lot of the people I had seen before walking around in town or in cars as I drove past. Still give the courtesy wave when someone lets me merge or change lanes in traffic. The best one is when you give the polite wave to someone that is clearly pissed at you. Makes them so mad hahaha. We have a lot of road rage drivers here in So Cal and each one is more important than the rest.

All of the Miata Enthuasists/Hairdressers do this wave to each other. I love pop-ups.

I had a brand new 1983 Toyota pick up four wheel drive, it seemed everybody waved to each other. Fast forward to 2012 when I got my Tacoma pick up four wheel drive had it for 18 months not one wave. Come to think about no F150's wave either. I guess times have change.

In my parts, you do the index finger lift when you pass people. Is that a southern thing? It similar to waving.
