do you wash your mf towels before first use?

Those of you who know mf, should you do this? Do you do it yourself?

I think they work better if you wash them, with just a half-dose of Restore and lots of water, then tumble dry on low.

I always wash them.

A member of my family worked in the garment trade in the UK and after hearing his stories of workers wiping off their sweat, drying their hands etc. on the fabric I always wash ANYTHING I buy new, MF's included.

Some MF sellers reccomend 2-3 washes before a use, but I feel 1 is just fine.

Oh, and yes, I wash before first uses.

Always. Who knows what kind of contamination they picked up during the manufacturing process and shipping. I wash to be on the safe side.

After buying my first bundle of MF's (Costco...but please don't get started on that :~)) I grabbed one to remove LSP. It didn't work worth a darn. That's when I learned to wash first. I now wash all toweling first...cotton/MF/whatever!

Always give your towels (polky or cotton, microfiber or larger) a wash before use. All textiles have a finish in them that aids in the weaving or knitting process. All textiles are also chemically finished once woven. Then they are handled in the factory and when in the cutting and sewing rooms people handle them with not so clean hands and they pass through oily sewing machines. There is no way around this so you should always clean first.

By the way, this also applies to bath towels used in the house, always wash first in hot water.
