Do You Think I Could Fix This?

Good afternoon guys. I just recently moved from Bel Air, MD to Santa Monica, CA and expierenced some troubles on the way. While in Arkansas, I accidently ran into a curb at a gas station and cracked the paint on my bumper. If that wasn't bad enough, the cracked paint started to fly off while doing 80mph across I-40W. I came out to California to attend college and well, I think most of use know or understand the college budget. Do you think I could fix this myself, and by what process, or should I save up for a semester and take it to a body shop (already estimated at $400-500)? Thanks a lot guys.

Yeah, I was going to send you to that link aswell. I say give it a shot, go by that process and see how it works out. You really don't have anything to lose, and with a little time it'll look a whole lot better.

White should be easier to hide any slight imperfections you might encounter than that awesome job on the black bumper posted above.
