Do these pics show a wax that is still protecting?

Well, then, based on Foxtrapper's remarks and yours, the beading clearly indicates the LSP is gone!

Actually in that other thread I was complainting that I used (Liquid) NXT and had great beading for about 3 weeks or so, then it seemed like the beading was gone. I questioned durability when another member roughed me up telling me that Megs products were designed to sheet, NOT bead. I countered with the question, "well if it's designed to sheet and not bead, why does it bead for weeks before it stops?"

I don't think I ever got an answer.

I tend to agree that smaller, tight, round beads seem to indicate that the LSP is working due to less surface tension. Large irregular beads would seem to suggest greater surface tension which suggest less protection or a dirty surface.

My thought would be to dry the car, then use the alcohol method, or polish half the hood so that you know the wax is gone. Then spray it and see how the two sides compare to know if it is beading with nothing on the paint.

Heh heh, I'm just paranoid/suspicious enough that I'm not gonna look at some pictures (with no other info) and say yeah/nope ;) Sure, it looks like a nicely waxed, fully protected finish but you just never know...

FWIW, my fiberglass shower stall has never been waxed. I did clean it with Pinnacle PCL once (years ago after it was installed) but since then I've only cleaned it with Comet Bathroom Cleaner. There's nothing on it protection-wise. Yet sometimes water beads up on it as if it were Collinited :nixweiss I could have some devious fun playing setup/gotcha with pictures of it when it's beading ;) not that I'm accusing anybody of that.

But I've never had a neglected vehicle bead up all nice like that, not once.. and I've been at this for a while.
