Do I need another polish?

The list of polishes on my shelf, from strongest to weakest is:

3M IMPERIAL MICRO FINISHING COMPOUND MEDIUM CUT 39001

MEGUIAR’S BODY SHOP PROFESSIONAL DUAL ACTION CLEANER POLISH MEDIUM CUT #83

MEGUIAR’S MIRROR GLAZE FINE-CUT CLEANER #2 (rotary only)

POORBOY'S SSR2.5

3M FINESSE-IT II MACHINE POLISH 39003

3M ONE STEP CLEANER WAX, MEDIUM OXIDATION REMOVER 39066

3M PERFECT-IT SWIRL MARK REMOVER LIGHT CARS 39109

MEGUIAR’S SCRATCH-X #108 S

MEGUIAR’S MIRROR GLAZE SWIRL REMOVER #9

MEGUIAR’S MIRROR GLAZE MACHINE GLAZE #3

Ive been reading lately of Optimum Polish, which I dont own. Scanning this list of polishes which I DO own, which do you think would be closest in functionality when used with my PC to Optimum Polish? Would it be the 3M Finesse-it? Something else?

Thanks.

What surprises me with all the Meguiars products you have there, you don't have one of their best polishes, in my mind, which is #80. Between DACP and #80, it's possible to get a show worthy shine and finish that would be tough to beat. I've just recently been using the Optimum products and have OC and OP in my arsenal now. I like the OC as the work time is excellent and the dusting is next to nil and the OP has also been a very nice product, but I might still have to give the edge to #80.

Thanks for the suggestion. At some point I ve had to draw the line.. I have so many products in my arsenal, some of which havent even been opened yet, I had to somehow limit my purchases.. All these are for me and my single Alpine White '99 M3 only. So overkill is something I have to watch out for. Its an addiction.

NOw, having said that, I see that the Meguiars #80 on the Meguiars aggressiveness scale has a rating of 4. I own #83 which has a rating of 6, and Swirl Remover#9 which has a rating of 3. But, I also have 3m products like Finesse-It and 3m Swirl Mark Remover. I also have Sonus#3. I beleive all of these to be similar to the #80, and if not, they can be made similar by using a milder or stronger pad. My point is, good as the polish may be, if its something that falls within my range of polishes, then I should leave it alone. Going over my listing, I think it would take a very special polish to earn a place among what IVe already got.. ITs got to do something that I cannot achieve with my current products. I was wondering about the Optimum polish because from what IVe read, it seems to be about the most Versatile polish Ive seen, in that it seems to have the singular ability to act as both a Compound, and as a milder polish, all according to the length of time that its worked.. This is true to some degree for most polishes, so it might be no more than marketing by the Optimum people.. I dont know.. But I just feel that both the Optimum and the Meguiars #80 while being excellent polishes may not add anything to my polishing arsenal until I at least go through the products Ive already got in that category. In the past, Id say using my Poorboys 2.5 followed by my 3M Finesse-it will cover almost any damage that can be gotten out. If I need stronger, I go with 3M IMPERIAL MICRO FINISHING COMPOUND MEDIUM CUT 39001, and if I want lighter, Ill go with my 3M PERFECT-IT SWIRL MARK REMOVER LIGHT CARS 39109 or my Sonus#3 Finishing polish.

I appreciate your suggestion...
