I already have many yellow, white, and black LC pads, do I really need the orange? From what I understand, they are less abrasive than a yellow but more than a white.

stevet said:I would say yes you need the orange pad. I never touch a cutting pad anymore. I find I can get the worst of the defects out with an orange and it leaves a better finish than the yellow pad. You always want to use the least abrasive method to correct your problem.
blackcaraddict said:The orange pad is real aggressive, and stiff as a board. I would only use it for paint that's real f'd up. Otherwise a white polishing pad and some 3M FCRC should take care of most defects.
edit: I am referring to the Sonus Orange pad, didn't see the LC in the title
