DIY wishing is was a pro!

Hey everyone,

Long time reader but first time poster! My passion is in cars and keeping them clean. I don't detail for living although I've wanted too. Would always clean my vehicles and my parents. In the last few years I got into paint correction and actual detailing for a hobby. I do the odd vehicle (car or boat) for money, but mostly just because I enjoy it.

Used to use mostly stuff you can get at a local store but discovered the world of online detailing has a lot more to offer! I use a DA polisher (GG 6inch), never had any training with a rotary. Recently invested in a Rupes LHR15 and it is fantastic.

I've read so many articles on here, I just hope I can contribute a bit! I like writing reviews of products since I usually read other peoples review of them before I buy them!

Thanks everyone and happy detailing!

You don't have to be a pro to contribute. I have no doubt you've learned some tricks over your years.

And welcome aboard!

Welcome to AutopiaForums. With a GG6 and a Rupes15, I'm sure you are already creating work that is better than most "pros". Keep it up. Looking forward to reading some reviews and your input! :autopia:

I've already discovered the pain the credit cards takes (or Paypal account) when you start watching these sites. I always look for sale items, but then I keep telling myself... "well it's on sale, might as well get it" haha

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Welcome!

I also started out with a GG6 a few years ago and switched over to a Rupes 15ES (plus a Rupes Mini this year). It is a great hobby and I wish I can do it for a living but not enough demand in my area
