Dissapointed with Liquid Glass

After a couple of weeks I'm a little dissapointed with the Liquid glass protection from bugs.

A couple of weeks ago I treated our new Kia Sedona to a Dawn wash, Clay magic treatment and three cured layers of LG. Last week I washed it with the Zymol Shampoo(purchased from Big lots). At that time I thought the bugs washed off rather well and was pleased. This weeks wash was a little different were the bugs didnt come off easy at all. In fact many took serious effort to remove.

I am not sure what to think at this point. I'm sure the LG is still protecting the finish but the bugs are sure adhering to the LG really well. I guess what I was hoping for was a more Non-stick finish. Am I being unrealistic about this?

I'm also a little dissapointed how much effort it takes to apply and remove it. I'm thinking about purchasing a bottle of UPP as it sounds like thats alot easier to deal with considering I'm working by hand. At this point with three layers of LG I dont know what it would take to strip it down and start from scatch with the UPP. Am I wasting my time? Is there anything out there that will create a non-stick finish? Any thoughts?

Considering all the work you put into applying the LG, I'd probably just try topping it with a carnauba. LG isn't bad stuff, but IMO it's a lot better with a wax topper.

Yeah, the UPP makes for a slick finish that stuff doesn't stick to very much, but I dunno how it would work over the LG. You might give it a try, but I'd do the carnauba first and see how you like that.

Bug impacts from high speed driving are harder to remove than bug impacts from lower speeds.

What's the last thing that goes through a bugs mind as it impacts with your car?

It's arse! :p :D

I used LG for a while. Don't care for it! I use Meguiars NXT and my Vette has never looked better. It is very dark and wet looking now.

I use LG for my painted rims. Stays slick and dirt doesnt stick so easily. You might try some S100 as a topper. Bugs have to be washed off right away otherwise they get tougher with time and heat.
