I haven't been posting details in a while because I've just been so BUSY. Plus I usually don't post wash/waxes which has been keeping me busy, and money in the accounts :).

This was one I completed the day after christmas, and the 27th as well. I spent around 18 hours total on this car.

I forgot my camera on the first day.. but it was just beginning polishing, as well as decontamination steps. Such as wash, foam, wheels, engine bay, etc.

But on to the pictures!

The process for this car was Meguiars Yellow so1o wool pad, and a combination of 3M FC+ and M105 for as much as 3 passes. I then followed it with a 3M green pad, and FC+, followed by 3M Yellow pad and 3M Extra Fine compound, and then refining with a 3M Blue pad and Scholl's S40.

This was what the car looked like:

And after four steps:

After 3 compounding steps, 2 foam compounding steps, then the 2 refining steps:

During, with my 4 dollar insurance policy:

If you look closely at this picture, you can actually tell the level of gloss brought out by the polishing steps. The area to the right of the BMW badge, and down the trunk has been polished; the left, not.

It was time for a rinse...

Then when I went to pic up the camera again, I did this:

So no more pictures!

The LSP for this car was two coats of Blackfire Wet Diamond.

Thanks for looking!

As always, C/C Welcome!

Sorry about your camera that really sucks, but Great work in the bimmer!

BTW, there is nothing disgusting about crimson red! ROLL TIDE!!!!

Aww LAME!!! It's so scary picking up and putting down my camera all the time! Sorry that happend to you! I just got my nikon d3000, and it's nerve wrecking having to be so careful with it all throughout the detail. AWSOME job on the detail though! Did just the lense break or did the camera get hurt too?

Let the camera be a lesson for you, always have a filter on (usually a "UV" filter is a good protective layer). That way you break the filter, not the actual lens!

^good advice i also learned in a photography class. A $10-30 filter is MUCH cheaper.

Sorry to see Aaron, but she's lookin' hella better! I hope the client appreciate the huge turn around and that your camera gets back to action soon. Also good to hear you've been busy

Nice work Aaron! :2thumbs:

Sorry about the camera too...Guess I better go pick up a filter! ;)

Thanks guys! It was actually just a filter. But when I dropped it, the filter became jammed in the lense and I wasn't able to get it out until I got home and took some pliers to it. But it was the last day of the detail which is why there were no more pictures :(
