metal said:Yeah I know, I'm not even quite sure how to address this. I need to figure out some type of response while I'm in my next class.
no no.. no your being completly fair when saying this. But im also quite protective about my techniques. Ive worked very hard for years to perfect my technique so im pretty vage sometimes.
so to start things off...Of course your going to disagree with my methods or get confused. Your not using a makita or a dewalt mutlispeed polisher. Your using a Porter Cable and im using an industrial tool. Your comparing apples and oranges here.. Your method is safe, mine requires years of mastering and its high risk..
i cant even imagine using the porter cable everyday for 2 or more cars a day. Id die.
these are the machines to use. And i stand by it.. but i would never recommend anyone to buy one unless they know what they are doing for the same reason why u are using your porta.. you can **** **** up good (or yourself). pardon my french!
cheers,
Jewelz

And my simple response:
I use a Makita 9227 rotary and a PC7336.
yeah ok. after i spent 3 years busting my *** managing and polising at a detail shop so i could pay my dues before i did my own.. i dont think so. Hence why i dont higher people eaither. And if i do, they dont polish. Thats my department.
If anyone knows anything about the detail industry, half of the shops out there are started up by other people leaving other shops and opening up their own. I am protective for some very good reasons. I know how this works because i did this myself. And im definatly glad i didnt reply mcuh to you (metal) via pm before when u wanted to know what i used. YOur pretty darn firm about your detailing on the forum but asking me a lot of advice outside the boards.. i dont think too much of that personally
infact forgive me for ranting but im quite tired from working. Plus im quite annoyed with all these detailing threads. Nice self promotion. Seeing as im a sponsor it makes me feel as tho i shouldnt have any reason to sponsor anymore. If i could just create these threads talking about "someones ****** paint" then why should i pay good money.
call me unprofessional but this is bull. I worked hard to be where i am and i dont need some guys telling me whats what.. do it your way, ill do it mine.
im done
Yeah...I asked you in two PM's what your opinion of a couple products were, and you said you had never heard of them before; that and "meguiars stuff is good for generic waxes" is pretty much everything you've ever told me. I should be damn firm about the way I work, I have been active on multiple international detail specific forums, and have talked to a number of industry majors and long time detailers since I first asked you about those products 6 months ago, in March when I started getting into detailing, and have made it pretty much my life since then thanks to all of those people. Thats all I had to say, I'm done here as well. You have your method, I have mine. As long as the customer is happy, thats all that matters.
Heh. It's a screenshot from a program that actually exists: http://www.bitboost.com/pawsense/Ben Kenobi said:The word dolt comes to mind with her. I can't believe a paying sponsor would write such drivel and show her ignorance. Tort, where can I get a copy of that program? lol
