Dirt on fake chamois

I use a synthetic chamois to dry my car after washing. Sometimes it picks up dirt from accidentally rubbing under a wheel well or inside one the holes in the front bumper. This leaves black streaks on the chamois that I cannot get out. Aside from being more careful, is there anything I can/should do about the dirt in the chamois?

I machine wash my P21S synthetic chamois. This normally removes all discoloration. You might try rubbing in the liquid detergent into very soiled areas prior to placing in the washer.

Hope this helps. :wavey

Just throw it into your washing machine. Use very little detergent and wash it. They will usually come out clean without any damage.

Get a waffle weave drying towel. That's what I did last week. I dried off the entire car (after water blade) without ringing it out once. I normally would have wrung out my chamois at least 5 times. No streaks either. And you can wash the WW towel without worrying about damage.

You can get a WW towel at this site, among others...
