Dirt and Microfiber

I searched but I can't find any info on this.

If I drop a microfiber on the ground I obviously put it off to the side for washing. After washing, there is still tons of little bits of leaves and debris that gets stuck in the towel. It's like velcro. Even picking it all out by hand (takes forever) is next to impossible. I've tried washing several times. Stuff gets completely embedded in the towel and won't come out.

I've thought about going to strickly waffle-weave. Maybe that would help. I can't afford to throw away towels after they hit the ground once.

Any ideas?

waffle weaves are excellent for drying and i only like to use the ultra-soft ones which can be had at exceldetail, autopia store, etc. i would at least pick up two...

Try a lint roller as well.......could use one wheels, engine compartment, door jambs etc.....

I had the same thought about the lint roller. It didn't do anything. The debris gets matted into the fibers like velcro.

I ordered a bunch of new towels. The old ones are getting demoted. I'll be more careful with them now that I know that dropping them ruins them. :sosad

Yeah, I have over 100 microfibers and I wait until they are all dirty to wash them. Then after the wash I pick the junk out of them one at a time and fold them. It sucks, but thats the trick to saving money on them.
