Anybody use this method to get new business? if so how well did it work? i plan on sending out some flyers along with a letter to try to generate some business. any ideas on how to start the letter.( Dear ????) i found a website that helps finding names and addresses. (anywho.com) works pretty well, you can even get the phone number if it's not a unlisted number.

Just One More Coat
When I worked in the eletronics biz we did a lot of mass mailings. The return was about 1/2% not much for the amount mailing going out. Just my .02

I can assure you that word of mouth is by far the best "free" advertising there is. IF you do good work, the word will get around. Hang in there and you'll have more work than you wanted.
