Living in Brooklyn NYC is murder on a cars painted bumpers. We have parallel parking here so you get other drivers hitting you from the front and rear. Some dings I have on the rear bumper have taken the paint off. This drive me nuts! 
Especially on a white car they are very noticeable. When I park I always try to leave enough room for the inconsiderate jerks to get in or out. On the front I use a bra for protection, which is working well. I know some of you are saying, just get a garage. But the prices to park in a private garage here are anywhere from $200 - $300 a month. The way I look at it, for the price of parking privately It will be cheaper to have a body shop fix up the dings when they get totally outta hand. My question after this long sermon is what can I use to temporally fill and paint these ding and scrapes ?
