Digital Camera Purchase?

I'm trying to apply the thinest coat of BF as possible, so far I tried a MF applicator, but I found it too big and takes a bunch of product before the applicator is soaked enough.

A foam applicator worked well much faster than the MF applicator, it is also smaller, but again it need to get soaked a little before it was easy to apply a thin coat.

The last method which seems to work best - for me - was using a piece of a magic towel, (the thin disposable towels from the kitchen), a piece about big enough to be used with 3 of my fingers, it gets soaked in BF right away,1 drop of BF will cover the top of my doors, another drop for the bottom portion, it is also much easier to avoid applying BF to the black plastics, and easier to get to difficult spots. It is almost like applying it with my bare hand.

It worked great today to apply another coat of BF.

Buffed the slight haze with my brand new MF towels from YoSteve ....

My preferred method (though the magic towels sound like a good idea, and I'll have to give 'em a shot) is to use a 6" microfiber bonnet like the ones from <a href = "http://www.properautocare.com/vipmicbonfor.html" target = "_blank"> here, and drizzle on a little Zaino/BF/Klasse, then spread it on real thin.

The bonnets are the perfect size for my fingers to fit into and it lets me really "feel" the surface I'm working with. I also get away with using much less product than "normal" for some reason. Using a bonnet and Zaino with ZFX, I can get almost three coats of Zaino on a large vehicle (Suburban, Tahoe, etc) with 2 oz.

I'd like to start posting pics on TID but I don't own a digital camera yet. What do you recommend I buy? I've always bought "middle of the road quality" on my items. I can't afford the best so I usually buy the the next best. How many pixels should I seek and any specific brand? What is best value? I know this may be a broad question as there are so many cameras to choose from but I just want the basics really to take a good pic!
Thanks for your input.

Mmmm....$150 range, however; if I can get to a whole new level by not adding too much I will do that too. Not sure of the price points. Yes, point and shoot!

I was in the same situation as you about a month ago with the same budget. I ended up picking up a Nikon Coolpix S6000. Very easy to use point & shoot camera with 14.2meg, long battery life and hd vid all for $130. The camera takes great pics with no touch ups needed too.

I would only ever buy a nikon or Canon camera. No matter the price point these two brands always seem to take the best pics IMO.

I can't give any specific models in that range because I am completely unfamiliar with the offerings. However I would add this...

Don't work about megapixels unless you are planning on printing out poster sized images from your camera. For lack of a better descrpition, mega pixels ultimately determine how large you can print something before you notice pixelation in the picture.

For example, a 4 megapixel and a 20 megapixel camera are going to look near identical at normal sizes, like if printed on a 4x6 photo. If you where to print the photo on a larger 8x11 (sheet of paper size) there might be a slight difference in the sharpness of the lines. If you where to print on a 5 foot x 3 foot banner, the 20 megapixel camera is still going to be sharp, where as 4 megapixel camera is going to be grainy. Simply put, a larger megapixel means there is more data in the photo, which is only important when you get to extremely large resolutions.

Unless you are playing on printing anything larger then a 8x11 photo, or larger than 2500 pixels wide on the internet (most internet pics are 800x600 or 640x480) then anymore that 8 megapixels is not needed.

Well my search is over. I ended up buying the Nikon S4100. I got it at Walmart...best price I could find was $147 but it included the case and 4G memory card, 14 mp and hd video, 5x zoom. Can't wait to try it out...thanks again for suggestions. I just didn't feel like doing the homework!

I just found a fujifilm S1500 on craigslist for 150. So far it seems to be a good camera. 10MP and 12x zoom.
