Difficulty with SSR2.5

wow - I have had nothing but awesome results with the ssr line and a PC - I use the meg's red pad for correction with ssr 2.5 - yellow with 2.0 and 1.0 - I have a dark grey acura and any polish or liquid will dust if the car is hot - You can use Poorboy's line in the sun no problem but if your car is black and it's 85-95 degerees out - well common sense should prevail.

I had 3.0 but it is really agressive and better used with a rotary. I find 2.5 to be the most versatile - with the red and a high speed it can correct - yellow and a lower speed works almost as well as 2.0. In fact I can go from 2.5 to 1.0 usually. skipping 2.0 all together. If you want something else to try - try the mez line (FP II is great too),

I don't think you're the only one with these problems Mr. Vedder. FWIW Steve did a whole thread about how to properly use SSR2.5. You should also do a finishing polish or IPA wipedown afterwards...I have a feeling that SSR2.5 contains some wax and/or fillers, despite what the label says.

Uh no!! Hewas the chosen one who saved Obi wans lifeand he kicked arse!!!

I had similar problems with 2.5 until I realized that dry product on the pad was making the mess.

So, now I always prep my pads with a spritz of detailing spray, and then put a circle of product around the edge of the pad to start. As I go on through the job, I add fresh product in circles starting at the center of the pad. This seems to help keep the whole pad damp (the motion of the PC pulls the product from the center to the edges), which helps eliminate dusting.
