did I screw up my Klasse application?!?

hi, all.



newbie user of Klasse here...reading through the archives, and I need expert opinions to make sure I didnt screw up my application steps...



I had water marks on wife's car (rained, and baked in the sun), so I washed with Dawn, then SMR with PC, then AIO via MF applicator, then SG with foam pad. Was this ok? I thought I read something that before applying Klasse products, that I should wash car first (meaning, I should have washed after SMR?)?



I hope I did it right, because taking off the SG pretty much killed my arms...and all I did was the hood!



So, folks, did I do the steps right?
 
That's fine. The solvents and cleaners in AIO will take care of any leftover residue and provide a perfect base for SG. Take a rest!:up
 
Try AIO with the PC on your other car. I find it’s faster, does a better job and saves your arms ;)

Would AIO do an easy job with an orbital too?Not justa PC? Or is it too much?



I usually do it by hand, but just wondering...
 
Adam, is it ok to use the AIO on the PC? What speed setting? Can I use the PC for the SG, as well? If I can, at what speed? TIA.

Not sure what pad set you have but I have the CMA pads. I like to use the white pad to apply AIO and wipe/buff by hand before it dries. I find it comes off pretty easy. You can use a fine foam pad (CMA’s gray) to apply SG if you like and remove by hand. I haven’t seen a set of bonnets that I like/trust yet to do removal with the PC. SG can be a pain to remove but you can spritz trouble spots with a quick detailer or use the damp towel technique that is pretty popular here. You take a damp microfiber towel, wipe of the SG and immediately buff behind with a dry microfiber.
