Did a silver Lightning yesterday

Truck started out very clean. Only 3000 miles since Feb '04. It was virtually scratch/swirl free, it has been recently clayed, but never been polsihed. The owner wanted me to "spruce it up" for a show today and Houston's Autorama the weekend after Thanksgiving.



Put my new Metabo rotary (Makita's baby brother) to work. First up was 1Z Paint Polish over the entire vehicle followed by Menzerna FP. Then applied AIO. Owner didn't want the K twins, in spite of my raving about it. He wanted NXT so finished off with NXT over the AIO.

Silver is a hellish color to get any kind of pop or reflections! I was happy with what I managed to get. The client remarked during the polishing that the truck looked "dull" in the unpolished sections while those that had been polished looked really good. He was pleased.
