I just got back from a 1600 mile road trip. I took my wifes new Subaru on a trip to the Cherohala Skyway in TN and NC. We did the Dragon and Hellbendber 28 and after all of this when I arrived home there was were no marks on the front of the car, Before the trip I put on some Diamondite Bugblocker. This stuff is a thick liqiud, think pancake syrup, that is applied with a sponge. It looks a little like un-buffed wax but is ia lot thicker. You will notice it but most people wouldn't.
It washes off easy with water, the instructions tell you to apply after driving in the rain.I'm not sure if I was I was just very lucky or if the Bugblocker really did a great job of protection but there were no marks on the front of the car, I will be using it again for any road trips in the future. Oh yeah there were a million bugs stuck to my front bumper.
