DG105 impressive

Just tried DG105 recently after claying and BF Gloss Enhancing Polish by hand as pre-wax. Left the surface unbelievable slick! I think i am gonna add another coat in a month and hope it will last till spring (hoping the ONR v3 doesnt remove it like 845). very thrilled with DG105.
 
I like just about all DG products.



I'm not sure if the ONR will kill it like it does on Collinite stuff but you can always use the DG version of ONR to prevent that. I find that most products in the same product line work well together.



Did you do a 601 prev. to the 105 ??
 
Nope just 105 by it self. I wasnt ready to add more variables and wanted to keep it simple as i work out doors in direct sunlight. Although it was a cloudy day when i applied 105.

I love DG105, but it's not a slick sealant at all IMO.. I just love the very wet look it gives, to me powerlock is likely one of the slickest finishes out of those I have tried, and it's pretty durable too.

After putting a second coat of DG105 on, after a week, i notice it cleans up very well with ONR. The water started beading up quickly when i wipe my wash mitt.


 


I plan to top it with UQW after each wash, until it gets too cold to detail. UQW goes on so easy, even on less that perfect paint.
 
You can mix the 601 with 105 or 501 and save yourself a step. Mix it 1 part 601 to 3 parts 105/501 but only mix what you plan to use.. This comes straight from DG.

This works really well, but initially I was mixing .5 oz of 601 to 2 oz of 105 and always ended up with allot of wasted product since I was using just a little over an oz to do the entire car.  I've since started mixing 1 1/2 teaspoons (= 1/4 oz) with 1 oz of 105 so there's less waste.
 
What if you use a pad, either on an electric polisher or a hand pad, and put one dime size drop of 601 in the middle and four dime size drops of 105 (or 111) around the edges?  It seems to me that when you put the pad on the paint and start working it all in and thinning it out they will mix together exactly as if you had mixed them beforehand and put them in a dispenser bottle.  I think you could control it much better this way because you would not waste any product at all (the shelf life of mixing 601 with any Duragloss sealant is short so if you don't use the mixture all up in a day or two it is wasted).   Although I have not done it this way yet I am going to try it because I would know how much I needed right to the drop and use not a drop more.
