Dg 601 ?

This is like a prep type of product for the paint (601)

Would you use a polishing pad or finishing pad with it ?

It says I can follow up with 105 or 101 or 111 which I would use a pol or fin pad depending on what product I would put on.

I would probably use either. It's not exactly designed for correcting, but rather for laying down a layer that will help the 105/101/111 bond better.

With the final sealants/waxes I would probably use a finishing pad. It's more flexible and will help you get into the hard-to-reach areas.

Fallguy,

I use 601/105 combo.

DG601 is just a bonding agent for DG sealants like 105/101/111. It will improve the longevity of those sealants. Like Mike said, DG601 doesn't correct swirls and i just usually use applicator foam pads by hand.

To apply DG601, use applicators (or if you use a PC a finishing, non cutting pad). Spread it thinly, allow to haze BUT DO NOT WIPE OFF YET. Then apply your sealant like the 105, wait till it dries up a bit then buff off with MF towel.

Yes. I use it on my 2007 Audi non metallic black and 1992 black BMW. The thing about DG sealants is that while it gives you serious longevity, it doesn't provide the 'oomph'. I use DG because my car is mostly parked outside. Once in a while i top it off with a carnauba.

I apply 601 and 105 w/ MF applicators. The 601 takes little time to apply. I then prime another applicator w/ AW for the 105; it only takes 4 or 5 pea sized drops per half panel and it spreads forever. Even though I have a PC I prefer to apply these this way.

I forgot to mention that I put the MF applicator I use on 105 in a sealing baggie, suck out the air and use it the next day for the second coat.
