I cut my Peerless sponges down to a smaller size (2/3 and 1/3). I have one larger piece that is squarish and the other is small rectangular shape. The smaller size has made it much easier to ring out water and soap, but the bigger piece is still plenty big enough to wash the paint. The smaller piece does an excellent job of cleaning the brake dust off of my wheels. The small piece comforms well to get into the nooks and crannies of the wheel and this foam does really clean well. I use the sponge on my paint only after I have just washed with my sheepskin mitt to get deeper cleansing. The paint always feels smoother after using it and I can tell that the water sheets off my car more effortlessly after using it so I know it is getting the paint extra clean.
