Has anyone tried DF Concours Towels? M/F that's 100% all cotton?

I tried to do a search, but because "DF" is under 3 characters it will not process.

Yes, they are an excellent towel - not inexpensive by any means. The terry towel weave is super soft and plush. I use them from time to time as a QD'ing towel on my own car.

DF all-natural-fiber MF towels are one of the better towels for detailing.

Here is a review(s) from about 2 years ago.

These towels are just as soft today and in excellent shape after all this time of hobbyist use. Also as time passes the "wicking" ability of this type of MF towel greatly improves to the point where they are great for final drying after a WW, LSP removal along with QD'ing. I also use one for a wash towel for painted surfaces.

Also type in search "DFTowel"

Hope this helps.

I also love Ranney's, along with Exceldetail's, WCD and MicrofiberTech.s, lines of Microfibers. All Soft, durable, some with terry weave and versatile.

Is the ultrafine a "natural" fiber MF?

Alpine DFâ„¢ Towels:

Use all-natural cellulose micro fibre spun with long staple cotton that is then woven in a terrycloth fabric. Compare this terrycloth with those of other manufacturers. The first thing you will notice is how much softer it is. Also take note of the larger terry loops used. These larger loops allow for more fabric to come into contact with the surface than other terryclothâ€â„¢s.

Alpine Microfiberâ„¢ is DF's trademark for micro fibre yarn. It is a process that combines 100% natural materials into very absorbent and soft yarn that will not scratch whatever surface it comes into contact with.

Traditional polyester/polyamide blend terry cloth Microfiber towels have fibres with hooked barbs for grabbing power, which makes them excellent towels for cleaning and scrubbing, it also means that are more likely to put micro scratches in your paint.

As you use the DF Concours Towel you will notice that sometimes a thread will loosen or pull out here or there. This is normal for terrycloth and you should never pull at the loose thread. Pulling the thread can cause the weave to come undone or stitching to unravel. Instead, simply trim the threads with a pair of sharp scissors to about 1/4 of an inch from the surface donâ€â„¢t cut too closely.

You can also try DF* Towel for the search.

I think the towels are excellent. I just ordered up some more of the 19" x19" ones as it's an easier size to hold IMO. They are very soft, and have long loops that make up the nap. They can snag easy, but you get used to it and it's easy to prevent. They are great for QD work and for buffing off waxes. :xyxthumbs

whats WCD?

does anyone know if the microfiber tech towels are any better than the excel detail towels. Im not looking for nothing fancy but im in the market for new towels.

thanks
