Detailing Yellow Porsche/Swirl Marks

As for Porsche leather, it takes a really good product to recover those new unique smells/odor from the leather w/o added fragrance of leather that can be overpowering.

Zymol Treat, was one of the better leather conditioners. However, Zymol sold off some of their products to TW and so Treat is no longer as it was.

Now, Porsche leather does have a very unique smell/odor. When I took delivery of my Porsche, I was taken in by the smells inside the cabin. Very clean smelling in a way.

What I've found is one product that truely does release the trapped tanning oils used when it was done. No leather fragrance, no phony smells. In fact, out of the bottle, it does not smell so good. BUT, once on the leather, in about 1 hr, I got the original odor back.

The product I'm speaking of is the Sonus leather conditioner. Made by a fellow Porsche owner who also runs this forum. What he did was develop this product using spare new leather skins from Porsche still in the bag to re-create that same smell. I think David hit a home run!

Granted, I LOVE Zaino Z-10, but I find it a bit overpowering (as nice as it is) for Porsche leather. Z-10 is dead-on for Lexus leather!

I'd give the Sonus leather conditioner a try. And while you're at the Autopia store, check out some of the Sonus polishes. These were designed for "PC" use and matched with the right pads work very well for those not so experienced in paint correction. If David can use it on his Porsche, that's fine enough for me.

Once you get more time with correcting paint, then I'd go to the Optimum line. From there, you can also look into Menzerna, one of the finest polishes in the world, also German (those Germans know their stuff!).:2thumbs:

Deanski
