detailing = workout

For me, a workout requires the use of various muscle groups and intense exertion for at least an hour at a time. Detailing is a lot of hard work and yet I'd not call it a workout.

In my case I start my day, every day, with an hour and a half workout at the gym. I do an assortment of exercises, from treadmills, to weights, various cardio, specific muscle group machines, and I finish with a few laps in the pool. This workout increases muscle mass, agility, flexibility and stamina. It also is a great cardio workout. Detailing does not do that for me. I seriously doubt I'd still be detailing cars today if it were not for that daily routine.
