Detailing while raining

Yesterday evening I decided to clay, polish and wax my truck. I was overcast and expected to rain at night. In the middle of removing the polish it started to sprinkle. I continue removing the polish but my MF was getting wet. It was smearing the polish instead of removing it. I had to continue to remove it until I had a dry surface. After I finished removing the polish it stopped raining and I decided to wax it. Of course when it was time to remove the wax the rain started back up. While removing the wax it started to rain lightly, enough to wet the entire truck. I had to run a towel over the wet area where I wanted to remove the wax and then remove it with an MF. I think I was able to pick up most of the wax but I noticed a lot of smearing.

I plan on washing my truck again next weekend and waxing it one more time just to make sure.

Any suggestions or thoughts?

Thanks,

J

Wax, let haze, and remove one section at a time.

Don't detail when it's going to rain unless you have a garage/shelter to quickly put the car in.

I wasn't supposed to rain until later on that night. It was my only chance to detail my truck since I don't know when I'll have the time again. Overall it looks good but I think I'm going to go over it one more time next weekend.
