Detailing wheel caps

Whats the best way to detail painted plastic wheel caps on sport rims? Should i use paint polish or plastic polish?

If you use a plastic polish there is a good chance you could remove the paint from the center cap.



Unless they are really all that bad I would just use a rim cleaner. What kind of caps are these?

I have those painted plastic caps on the Benz. Yesterday I had a chance to use Mother's plastic polish, and it sure did make them shine nicely. I expect other would work too. Plastic polishes (unless they contain abrasives like Megs PlastX or the stronger Novus products) are mostly cleaner/shiner products. I can't possibly imagine they could remove any paint. But maybe joed1228 had some bad experience he needs to tell us about?
