Detailing supplies for my bday......any ideas?

Hey all,

My birthday is coming up in about a month, and I told my wife that I wanted some detailing supplies. Mainly I need to get pads for my PC....I have had a PC since last summer, but never used it because I didn't have pads, nor much time :( Anyways, I compiled a list this morning, and wanted to run it by everyone to see if you had any other ideas or opinions....I want to make it easy for my wife and only order from CMA, and spend $75 to get the free shipping.....here it goes:

I have P21S wax, that's why I thougt I'd get the Cleansing lotion.

I have wanted to try 303 for a long time, so there you go.

I have No. 9, DACP, and 3m SMR for use with PC to get rid of swirls.....thanks in advance!
 
have you looked into getting one of the kits that CMA has? I've been eyeing the $50 PC pad kit for a while, and i'm in the same situation you are in (got a pc, but no pads)
 
I did consider getting the DAP Kit, but I don't feel that I need the wool pad, or the cotton pads....I don't think I'd ever use them.

I'd rather have extras of the pads that I would use.
 
Sounds good to me I would just have her get the pad kit for your PC instead of the pads individually.

You need to get the velcro backing plate if you don't already have it.

I have the velcro backing pad......I just didn't think I would ever use the wool pad or cotton pads....am I wrong?

Nahh, you're prolly right. I've nver used the wool pad or terry bonnets. You may not ever need them. Your pad selection is fine for starters, it covers all the bases.
 
The coton terry bonnets I never used and the wool pad I used once on an older car.



Since you have the velcro backing plate, I would just go with pads too then. I like the Advance pads better too.
