Detailing Suburbans and Excursions/Expeditions ... not so bad!

Last weekend I detailed a Ford Expedition and the yesterday it was a Chevy Suburban. I thought they were going to be real tough, but once you finish the roof ... you're home free.

Sure there's a lot of "real estate" to cover, but there's also a lot of PC friendly flat surfaces and bending over is minimal due to their high stance.

I think there's a lot tougher cars to detail than these domestic mammoths!

How many hours for each ?

Luckily they were both newer vehicles that didn't require extensive polishing. Used PwC and EX on both and took about 4 hours for exterior which is almost the time it takes me for regular passenger cars.

i was detailing abit of my sister's jeep grand cherokee. lots of not flat areas :( not to mention she went to twon with the foam brush for 5 years...some DACP and #9 cleared most of it up. there's still some light scratches but the paint looks almost new :)

What did you use on the plastic cladding on the Grand Cherokee?

I agree that the larger SUV's aren't as bad to detail as one might think. They have a lot of glass area and flat panels that makes it reasonable with a PC. I'm just glad I chose white instead of black like I originally wanted.
