Detailing Motorcycles

I need advice on how to clean and detail a late 70's, early 80's Honda CBX motorcycle. I think the bike has a fairing and lot of metal to clean, from pictures that I have seen on the internet of that model bike.

Also, advice on cleaning and detailing newer bikes, faired and unfaired would be appriecated.

Should I just go stock up on S100 products?

I do both my bikes this way ('96 ZX7R and '91 BMW K75S) once a year:

Take off main body fairings. then wash everything with carwash soap. Use an old mitt for stuff in the engine and other parts which may be greasy. Use WD40 on the wheels and the chain. Lube up the chain after you rinse with water. THe fairings all go into the bathtub, where I wash with Dawn. Then I do SMR, glaze, and #20, and then a carnauba topper). Wax all clearcoated aluminum (frame, triple clamp, everything). Polish windscreen with Plexus or Novus Plastic polish, then coat with #20. Put fairings back on and you're done.
