Detailing in Texas Sun

It has been a while since I posted so I finally have a few shots of my latest detailing efforts. These are a couple of cars that I had to detail in the Texas Sun. It was over 100 degrees both times. Other Texas detailers will understand and it is a work of passion :spit: The first SUV is Black and the Sun really tried to kick us, but we beat it. The Olds 442 was just plain fun! Well, I guess you will have to follow the links as I have not read the new directions on posting photos.

Products we used:

ON Black SUV:

Mothers Power Polish,

Mothers Glaze,

Mother Reflections Wax

On Red Olds 442:

Mothers Power Polish,

Mothers Glaze,

NXT

Both look great! I really love the 442. :)

I hear ya on the weather. Hasn't been hot at all (what, maybe 3 100 degree days?) but the last two weeks have been really humid. Several extra shirts are mandatory! I have two tomorrow and two on Friday in the sun. Still beats doing this when it is cloudy, windy and 35 degrees!

Hey Scott, it worked real good, but only do a small 2 foot section at a time in the direct sun light. I have used it a lot and depending on the color of the vehicle it has a better shine than NXT. I have been real busy on detailing very big Yachts - 38ft. - 50ft., but every once in a while I get back to my roots and detail a car. Sure seems easy compared to the big boats.

The weather here has been crazy hot for a few weeks now. An investment that I made that really helped was a folding 12 x 12 tent. Like the ones the vendors use. What a time saver for me. Just enough to keep the sun from turning the hood and roof of a black car to a new cooking surface. I always see the mothers product but never tried it. Your work with it looks great. Does the polish really cut out scartches and swirls well?

Yes the polish will take out minor scratches. I use it with a pc set on 5. Mothers has a more aggressive polish which is very similar to Megs 83. I use the Mothers professional line all the time. We have a canopy on the trailer which pulls out to about 12 ft., but at that location there was not enough room to have the canopy and detail the vehicles. Next week is fully booked with 48ft yacht, 38 ft. cabin cruiser, 33 ft. cabin cruiser, and a 24 ft. cabin cruiser. I really do not see how I am going to get all that work done. I guess it will be late nights.
