Detailing in sunlight on cool day?

I'm on vacation this week and would like to detail my car, it will be in the 50's my question is, will it be ok. to detail in the sunlight it's not going to be hot so I think it might be ok, but would rather hear it from the experts. I don't have my awning up for the season and will not be till the end of the month.

Just don't allow enough time for the suds to dry on the car. It's pretty easy. I even washed my car yesterday in the direct sun and it was about 70 out here with some pretty intense sun. Just be smart about it.

I never detailed outside, but when I washed my car in 50* temp the sun can still dry the car soap in a matter of mins.

If you drive your car, and then start detailing despite the cool temps... just be careful with the hood. It's very hot and the polish will still dry faster.

You could do it panel by panel and dry as you go. I wouldn't let the water dry on the car in the sun no matter what temp it is outside.

The surface will still heat up a bit.

I had to detail in the sun today and everything went fine. Since its still winter none of the trees have leaves so its pure sun here. The wax sure hazed fast though! :)

I do two panels at a time then rinse...do one side completely, even dry it and then do the hood, trunk, and other side quickly and dry then QD it to make sure any spots are gone...thats how i would do it if i wasnt in my garage drying :grinno:
